Gateway to the Blue Mountains

Day twenty-two. Glenbrook.
The main entrance to the park is through Glenbrook via Ross Street and then Bruce Road. Follow signs from Great Western Highway.

The popular swimming hole, Jellybean Pool.

A rock skip away from Causeway to Blue Pool.

Bushrangers left Ewan a late present.

A makeshift paddle works just as well.

The kayak saved us a half-hour hike back.

Parking the kayak.

Colorful parrots amidst an overcast.

A mob of gray roos in Euroka.

The grass must be extra exciting.

Roos congregate in the area at dawn and dusk.

No more than 2m from the mob.

A cobweb collects the rainfall.

Edge of Tunnel View Lookout.

This thorny plant used by Aboriginal people as a tool.

Fell head over heels for the view.

Rightfully named the Tunnel View Lookout.

Prevent children from kicking rocks off cliff.

The Cumberland Plain.

How to access a gated pathway.

Merely a few kilometers away from home.

Delicate balance at Mt. Portal Lookout.

Closed between 7 PM & 8:30 AM.
